Echoman date log: still no service of iPhone because the Japanese did not use GSM , they use PHS more.
From the view in JR(Japan rail) , most peoples playing with either PSP or DSi (formerNDSL). But the majority using their PHS phones for SMS, internet surfing, or even watching TV if added with an antennae.
